All sonography and diagnostic tests
Sonography is a diagnostic medical treatment that produces dynamic visual pictures of organs, cells, or blood flow within the body using high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound). A sonogram or ultrasound exam is the common name for this treatment.
Sonography is a diagnostic medical test that creates a picture by bouncing high-frequency sound waves, also known as ultrasound waves, off of bodily components. The procedure is commonly referred to as an ultrasound or a sonogram.
A transducer is used in sonography to put out ultrasound waves and listen for the return. The ultrasonic waves are converted into a picture by a computer. Structures in the picture can be seen, measured, and identified by a qualified technician. The photos are then read by a particularly qualified clinician to assist in the diagnosis of medical issues.
